Discovering Self - Starting with Spirituality

All living beings have a soul! This is something that can be found in many texts. Our souls are the part of us that is eternal. Depending on who you ask, our souls have lived for many lifetimes and possibly even on different planets. This can be hard to process if this is the first, second, or even third time hearing this information.

Our souls are attached to our body internally.

Spirituality is an aspect of living that I feel we all have within us. You might not belong to a specific religion or even picked just one to claim as your own. Having spirituality is different from religion because religion is man-made. Spirituality is what gives you your reason for living and drive to do what is right. Each individual will have their own perception of how they are living out their spirituality.

There are a million options for how we can chose to practice our spirituality. Here are a few I have personally explored:

  • Traditional Religions:
    • Southern Baptist,
    • Catholic,
    • Methodist
      • using prayer
      • small groups
      • bible studies
      • attending regular services
  • Holistic Healing
    • herbs,
    • essential oils,
    • natural medicines
  • New Age
    • meditation,
    • Auras
    • Chakra alignment and healing,
    • Tarot cards,
    • Oracle cards,
    • Runes,
    • Crystals,
    • Connecting with Angels,
    • Listening for Divine Guidance,
  • Mindfulness
    • meditation
    • positive thoughts
    • affirmations
    • creating vision boards
  • Reiki
    • currently researching and discovering (AND loving it!)
I am by no means an expert in any of these spiritual outlets. I have my opinions on each one as do those who have or currently practice them. There are many of these outlets I currently use myself to promote positive living and share love and light in my life. Are any of these outlets what you choose to live by or practice? Do you practice a different spiritual connection to the Divine or Spirit or any other name? If so, I would love to hear from you! Positive thoughts and words only please! Thank you! I would like to leave you with love, light, and gratitude! Thank you for visiting my page!
